Wood Cutter

Location: Geneva, IL. 60134
Shift Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm / 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with some overtime.
Shift Days: Monday – Friday. A work schedule will be set at the start time.
Pay Rate: $20 per hour negotiable based on experience.

Job Description:

• Measure and mark wood according to specific measurements and cutting instructions.
• Operate saws and other cutting tools (such as table saws, band saws, or circular saws) to cut wood accurately to size.
• Ensure precise cuts that meet the required dimensions and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, or instructions to determine the required cuts.
• Inspect the wood for quality, ensuring it is free from defects and suitable for use.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
• Perform routine maintenance on cutting tools to ensure they remain in safe, working condition.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with team members or supervisors regarding project requirements and timelines.
• Forklift driver (sit down forklift)
